Open Data Interfaces

German Environmental Specimen Bank Open Data: We make our measurement data available for automated access and reuse.

RDF-Interface

German Environmental Specimen Bank provides a so called Resource Description Framework (RDF) interface, a standardised format for exchanging structured data on the web. Data is represented as statements of the form subject – predicate – object, similar to a sentence: "Observation 0 has the parameter Mercury." All resources are identified by URIs (web addresses), which makes it easy to link datasets together.

A documentation of the interface is available at https://umweltprobenbank.de/en/docs

Tabular Export (CSV / XLSX)

You can take any results URL from umweltprobenbank.de and append .csv or .xlsx before the query string. These URLs are stable and always return the current data — they can be bookmarked or called from a script to retrieve up-to-date results at any time. The Export → CSV / Excel buttons in the results view do the same thing as a convenient shortcut.

Detailed information on how to get the URL and export to .csv or .xlsx is provided at https://umweltprobenbank.de/en/docs#/csv
