Umwelt 2018
Interdisciplinary scientific meeting with contributions of the Division of Environmental Chemistry and Ecotoxicology of the German Chemical Society and the Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry - German Language Branch
The conference "Umwelt 2018" (Environment 2018) is organized with the support of the Division of Environmental Chemistry & Ecotoxicology of the German Chemical Society (GDCH UÖ, Annual Conference) and the Society of Environmental Toxicology and Chemistry - German Language Branch (SETAC GLB, Annual Conference) at the University of Münster.
The topics of the conference include new analytical techniques and methods and their applications in the environmental and ecotoxicological context, the occurrence and behavior of pollutants and trace elements in surface, groundwater, soils, sediments and air, their enrichment, transformation and impact on terrestrial and aquatic organisms taking into account different mechanisms of action and test procedures as well as concepts of evaluation and regulation (e.g. re-evaluation of PAH in the amendment of the BBodSchG). To promote interdisciplinary exchange, the German Soil Science Society and the German Limnology Society are each hosting one session. Regional themes of the Münsterland, such as the future of nitrate problems and the effects of water restoration measures will be discussed.
