Final sampling of human specimen in 2017

The sampling of human specimen in 2017 was finalised in the 4th location Ulm at May 7th

After sampling took place in Münster, Halle/Saale and Greifswald, the 4th sampling of human specimen in 2017 was finalised in Ulm. The team of the human specimen bank from the Fraunhofer Institute for Biomedical Engineering (FhG IBMT) carried out the yearly sampling campaign in their mobile laboratory on behalf of the German Environment Agency (UBA).

Considering the 117 volunteers of Ulm University a total of 509 students volunteered for this years' sampling at the four different locations. The samples are now prepared for transport to be routinely analysed for metal concentration in blood and urine.
