UV stabilizers in plastics
Phenolic benzotriazoles are widely applied as UV stabilizers in plastics and to some extent also in cosmetics and sun screens. Many phenolic benzotriazoles are highly lipophilic compounds and exhibit a high sorption and bioaccumulation potential.
