Saale bei Wettin
Only sampling site of bream in the river Saale
The sampling site extends from the harbour in Halle to the barrage at Wettin. At Wettin the Saale splits into three branches which flow around a peninsula. A lock is operated in one branch, a hydroelectric power plant in another. In Wettin and Brachwitz, reaction ferries for cars and pedestrians are operating. Wettin has a small marina whereas the harbour of Halle-Trotha is the largest transhipment port of the Saale.
