The sampling site Warndt 2 is located in the forest district Warndtweiher at an altitude of 247 m.

The soil sampling site is situated in a beech mixed forest. The dominating soil type is a Pseudogley aus Fließerden über Buntsandstein  (German soil classification KA 4).
