Beech population in Scheyern

The beech sampling site Scheyern-Buche consists of five sampling places. Of these, three are located in the forest of the Benedictine Monastery Scheyern, one south of Großpalmberg and one in the west of Singern.

Specimen

  • As the most dominant deciduous tree species in Central Europe, it plays a significant role in most nearly natural and also anthropogenically influenced forest ecosystems up to an altitude of 1100 m.
