Umweltprobenbank auf internationalen Fachtagungungen: SETAC Europe und Umweltprobenbanken-Konferenz 2019

Unter dem Motto One Environment. One Health. Sustainable Societies. und The past, present and future of Environmental Specimen Banks werden aktuelle Ergebnisse der Umweltprobenbank vorgestellt

Vom 26.-30. Mai 2019 findet die diesjährige SETAC Europe in Helsinki statt und vom 3.-5. Juni 2019 ist das Naturkunde Museum in Stockholm Gastgeber der 5. Internationalen Umweltprobenbanken-Konferenz.

Auf beiden Tagungen ist die Umweltprobenbank (UPB) mit mehreren Beiträgen zu aktuellen Untersuchungseergebnissen aus dem Umweltbereich vertreten.

Auf der SETAC Europe werden in vier Vorträgen aktuelle Ergebnisse der Umweltprobenbank vorgestellt:

• Determination of cyclic volatile methylsiloxanes in German wild fish via a GC-ICP-MS/MS method
• Conduction of a freshwater trophic magnification study based on a comprehensive literature evaluation
• Seasonal variability of metal and metalloid concentrations in blue mussels from the North and Baltic Seas
• Plasticizers in German rivers: DEHP and its emerging substitutes
   

Künftig wird die Umweltprobenbank Daten für das Europäische Projekt Life APEX bereitstellen. Das Umweltbundesamt ist Partner dieses Projekts und wird es in einem Vortrag darstellen:

• APEX - Systematic use of contaminant data from apex predators and their prey in chemicals management

Auf der Internationalen Umweltprobenbanken-Konferenz vom 3.-5. Juni 2019 werden die standardisierten Arbeitsweisen der UPB und weitere Untersuchungsergebnisse präsentiert:

• Quality assurance during sampling, sample preparation, biometric characterisation and transport in the German ESB
• How do age, size and trophic level of freshwater fish influence the tissue levels of priority substances?
• The use of German environmental ESB data in chemical management and monitoring
• Comprehensive mercury monitoring in aquatic and terrestrial samples from the German environmental specimen bank: matrix comparisons, spatial comparisons and temporal trends over three decades
• Retrospective investigation of cyclic volatile methylsiloxanes in archived German fish samples over two decades
